Biography

Ines Said is a software engineer in AR/VR working at the University of Florida’s Digital Worlds Institute. As a researcher, her work has been featured in numerous top venues, including twice at the ACM IEEE VRST conference in Osaka, Japan. Her competitive software engineering skills landed her 8 top hackathon wins across the United States and Canada, securing awards from Google, IBM, Estee Lauder, DigiKey, and numerous others. Further, Ines was awarded COVID-19 Research Grant funding by Google to carry out research on public health applications. Her goal is to combine the fields of art and technology while tackling complex social issues, and to make technology enjoyable and accessible for all.
