Justin Marlin is the Assitant Director for Student Services and Administration at the UF Digital Worlds Institute. A UF alumnus, Justin graduated with a degree in political science and a minor in history.
At Digital Worlds (DW), Justin provides administrative support for both the campus and online programs in Digital Arts and Sciences (DAS), specifically the BA and MA. Responsibilities include support across functional areas including academic recruitment, program marketing, promotion, student ambassadors, course and classroom scheduling, curriculum revision procedures, serving as a point of contact for students and parents during the recruitment process, managing student events, and other academic and administrative support as needed.
Justin serves on the DW Curriculum Committee, working with faculty and the program advisor to coordinate the submission and development process of new course offerings, new programs, and program revisions to the University Curriculum Committee (UCC).
Additionally, Justin develops and implements communications strategies that elevate the institute’s programs to various audiences, including students, alumni, UF faculty and staff, and community members. He also curates content for the institute’s social media accounts, including graphic design, photography, and videography projects.
At the end of every spring term, Justin manages and directs a team of students, faculty, and staff around the Digital Worlds Institute’s Convergence event, an annual gathering and celebration that brings together students, alumni, and community partners, and industry professionals.
He is currently pursuing an M.Ed. in Student Personnel in Higher Education at the UF College of Education.
He enjoys traveling to beautiful cities and landscapes, spending time with his dog Watson, and hanging out with friends in his free time.
