Justin Marlin is the Assitant Director for Student Services and Administration at the UF Digital Worlds Institute. A UF alumn, Justin graduated with his BA in Political Science and an M.Ed in Student Personnel in Higher Education from the UF College of Education.
At Digital Worlds (DW), Justin offers administrative support for the MA in Digital Arts and Sciences (MiDAS) program as well as the BA in Digital Arts & Science (BADAS) campus and UF Online program. Justin's responsibilities include support in a variety of functional areas, including academic recruitment, program marketing, promotion, DW Student Ambassadors, BADAS Mentorship Program, course scheduling, curriculum revision procedures, and serving as a point of contact for prospective students and their parents during the recruitment process, managing student-centered events, and providing other academic and administrative support as necessary.
Justin serves on the DW Curriculum Committee, working with faculty and the program advisor to coordinate the submission and development process of new course offerings, programs, and revisions to the University Curriculum Committee (UCC).
Additionally, Justin develops and implements communications strategies that elevate the institute's programs to various audiences, including students, alums, UF faculty and staff, and community members. He also curates content for the institute's social media accounts, including graphic design, photography, and videography projects.
At the end of every spring term, Justin manages and directs a team of students, faculty, and staff around the Digital Worlds Institute's Convergence event, an annual gathering and celebration that brings together students, alums, community partners, and industry professionals.
