Ali Nottke is the current Undergraduate Advisor in the School of Theatre & Dance and began working at UF in 2021 in the School of Art + Art History. Ali is originally from upstate New York and received both their B.A. in Sociology and M.S. in Student Affairs Counseling from the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Plattsburgh. Ali brings both experience in counseling and a student-centered approach to their work with students. They have graduate experience in Fraternity and Sorority Life, Student Activities, and Conduct and worked professionally for over seven years in Residential Life at two institutions.
Ali acknowledges their position of power with respect to privilege and is particularly driven with regards to racial justice, equity, and inclusion and hopes to improve the collegiate experience for marginalized student populations.
