Marcel W. Foster, MPH (they/them), is a health and arts evaluator currently based in Atlanta, Georgia, home to the Muscogee & East Cherokee Nations. They evaluated health initiatives for clients that include the US Agency for International Development, Sierra Leone's Ministry of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Currently, they lead evaluation initiatives with Out of Hand Theater's Vaccine Confidence programs as well as the Counter Narrative Projects' health impact tracking. Marcel was awarded LGBTQ+ Person of the Year in 2017 and a 40 Under 40 nominee in 2019 by Emory University and serves as the Program Chair for the Arts, Culture, & Museums group for the American Evaluation Association. Finally, Marcel brings over 10 years of experience as a dance-theater creator and performer, and worked with the Guthrie Theater, Pig Iron Theater, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, Pasion y Arte Flamenco, Susan Rethorst, and David Gordon.
