Scott Horsley makes drawings and paintings examining how technologies and information media, at every age of civilization exert control, loudly or subtly, over human choices. His work posits that as information consumers, we assume that we have a relationship of control over our own media interpretations and questions whether this is a safe assumption to make.
Scott has an MFA in drawing and painting from UCSD, and a BFA in painting from RISD. He has exhibited his paintings, drawing and sculptures nationally with solo and group shows in Los Angeles, Tijuana, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Miami as part of Art Basil.
