Biography

Cheryl Rodney serves as the College Administrative Coordinator for the College of the Arts.

Responsibilities of her position include:

  • Reception
  • Providing administrative support for the general functions of the Dean's Office,
  • Assistance and support for the Associate Deans to include scheduling, committee coordination, and project support.
  • She serves as a back-up to the Dean's Executive Assistant,
  • Provides support to the HR Department, Business Office and Advancement Team.
  • As the Effort Coordinator for the college, she works with the Effort Liaisons from each unit to navigate the effort process with each term.
  • FAA Building Emergency Coordinator
  • FAA Key Custodian
  • FAA Facilities Liaison
  • FAA Space Certifier 

Cheryl thoroughly enjoys working in the eclectic artistic atmosphere of COTA. She has always had a love for the arts. Though amateur at best, she enjoys painting and photography. These art forms provide a sense of calm and peace. She has a newly found appreciation for jazz music, and often has it playing at her desk. 

In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys kayaking, cruising, hiking, camping, traveling, photography, painting, SCUBA diving, motorcycle riding,and making memories with family and friends.  

Being outside in nature watching animals, sitting on the bank of a lake, or on the shore at the ocean are where she goes to relax and unwind.
