PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This dynamic and participatory gathering will bring together CAME’s 70+ Affiliate Faculty from across UF and our network of national and international artists, scholars, entrepreneurs, academic institutions and organizations. Our center’s affiliates represent a broad range of scholarly disciplines and creative practices in the arts, humanities, business, AI and emerging technology, and more. With CAME’s success in generating interdisciplinary grant-funded research, the Innovations Summit will provide a platform for sharing and cultivating new innovative research initiatives, staging dynamic creative productions, and building new cross-sector partnerships.

The Summit will bring our newest Affiliate Faculty and partners into conversation with CAME founding members to generate a vision for the next phase of the Center’s evolution. Participants will engage with our new Maker in Residence Marlon Barrios Solano, a recognized leader in interdisciplinary arts and AI research and creative production, who is representing CAME in new and ongoing global collaborations.

In addition to our main conference sessions, there will be opportunities for informal networking, creative performances, and exploration of Gainesville's vibrant cultural community. This summit was intentionally planned to coincide with How Bazar's BIG festival taking place in downtown Gainesville on Saturday April 12th.
