Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Production

Creating the future of theatre through craft, curiosity, and collaboration.

The BFA in Theatre Production at the University of Florida prepares students for careers in the live entertainment industry. With an emphasis on collaboration and hands-on learning, this degree offers a comprehensive foundation in production practices—grounded in artistic exploration, critical thinking and real-world application.

Students begin with a core curriculum that introduces all areas of theatre production before transitioning into specialization courses in their third year. Specializations include costume, lighting, scenery, and sound with opportunities for advanced coursework, electives and production assignments tailored to each focus area.

Throughout the program, work closely with faculty and peers in a collaborative, production-focused environment to realize work across the theatre and dance production season.
