Bachelor of Arts in Dance
Expand your education. Connect your passions. Reimagine what dance can be.
The Bachelor of Arts in Dance is a flexible, interdisciplinary degree that allows students to explore dance as both a creative practice and a field of inquiry. Rooted in rigorous training and cultural understanding, the BA supports students who want to integrate dance with other academic interests.
Whether pursuing a dual major, double major or minor, students have the freedom to shape an individualized course of study that supports a broad set of career paths and intellectual goals. The program encourages exploration across disciplines while grounding students in dance practice, theory, history and performance.
Students often combine their dance studies with areas that reflect their interests and future goals, such as:
- Arts, culture or performance
- Health, education or community engagement
- Communication, research or entrepreneurship
- Any complementary academic or professional field
Graduates emerge with the ability to articulate the power and agency of the arts across time, cultures and perspectives.
