Application checklist

  1. Pay application fee (http://reg.conferences.dce.ufl.edu/SSP/1400067728)
  2. Submit completed application form to cellist@ufl.edu
  3. Application recording submitted or Live audition requested 

Application Process

  • Admission to the institute is by audition
  • Applicants should provide a sample of their playing, ideally two contrasting works, with or without accompaniment, by sending a link to audio and/or video digital recordings posted online (such as youtube, dropbox or other similar hosts), or by mailing a copy of the recording(s) on CD or DVD to: GCMI (attn. S. Thomas), School of Music, University of Florida, PO Box 117900, Gainesville, FL 32611
  • Live auditions may be scheduled individually – please contact Dr. Steven Thomas at cellist@ufl.edu if you wish to schedule a live audition

*An application will be considered complete upon receipt of all materials, including payment of the registration/application fee through the GCMI website (see details above)

Application Timeline
April 30, 2018 – Early application and registration fee due
May 7, 2018 – Full tuition due to be eligible for discount
May 15, 2018 – All applications due
May 31, 2018 – Full tuition due
