- Stage Management
The Stage Management specialization within the BA in Theatre offers students a strong foundation in artistic leadership, organization, and collaboration within a liberal arts framework. Designed for students who want to direct the flow of live performance while gaining a broad academic experience, this path blends classroom learning with intensive, real-world production work.
Students begin with core theatre courses and progress into stage management-specific classes, production practicums, and seminar-style mentorship. The curriculum encourages interdisciplinary exploration, with many students choosing to pursue a second major or minor. Emphasis is placed on inclusive leadership, emotional intelligence, creative problem-solving, and communication—skills that apply far beyond the theatre.
