Art History at UF invites students to explore how art reflects, shapes and challenges cultures across time and around the globe. From ancient empires to contemporary movements, students investigate art and visual culture while developing skills that prepare them for careers across the art industry and higher education.

Graduate Degrees
Master of Arts (MA)
An advanced program for students looking to deepen their knowledge and skills, prepare for a PhD program, or transition to art history after earning their Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
A research-intensive degree for students pursuing careers in art history scholarship, teaching or curatorial leadership.
