Research
Backed by major funders like the Mellon Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, CAME partners with colleges and departments across UF—ranging from the College of Engineering, College Business, College of Law, and IFAS to the Center for Latin American Studies and the University Libraries—and supports over 80 affiliate faculty. CAME fosters interdisciplinary exploration of the arts, innovation and entrepreneurship through its unique Maker in Residence program, robust academic and creative ecosystem, and community-driven initiatives like SPARC352.
We provide seed funding and research support for faculty research projects.
Faculty-Driven Research
Affiliate and project faculty come from a variety of disciplines across the University of Florida and drive independent and collaborative research in an array of formats, often directly with communities or scholarly and industry partners relevant to the center’s mission.
