Dancing in the Archives is an ongoing collaboration between the School of Theatre and Dance and the University of Florida George A. Smathers Libraries Special Collections. Dance majors conduct archival research on three African American women who shaped the modern dance repertoire—Katherine Dunham, Zora Neale Hurston, and Pearl Primus—culminating in public performances in the library.

‘Surrealism at the Harn: A Centennial Celebration’ (December 9, 2023 – June 2, 2024) is co-curated by Rachel Silveri, (Assistant Professor, Art History) and a team of seven graduate students studying Modern Art at the University of Florida School of Art + Art History.
Sarah Albee, an undergraduate student in the School of Theatre and Dance, and Brendan Sweeney, a graduate student in the School of Music, partner on performances for which Sweeney writes the music and Albee choreographs the dance score.
