Proposal Preparation

Carefully review the Request for Proposals and prepare the proposal as follows: 
  1. Cover sheet (Word Document or HTML format) with signatures of the PI, Co-PI (if applicable), and School Director 
  2. Proposal narrative (maximum three single-spaced pages) 
  3. Bibliographic references (maximum one page) 
  4. Budget sheet (Word or HTML format) 
  5. Budget justification sheet (Word or HTML format) 
  6. Vita or resume (maximum three pages). 


Please Note: Examples of creative/scholarly work should not be submitted with the proposal. However, the reviewing committee reserves the right to request examples of creative/scholarly work. 


The proposal narrative should address the primary concept, relevant issues, goals, expected results, methodology and significance of the creative/research work proposed. A detailed budget must be itemized in the format attached, including an estimate of the minimum viable support level. Budget justification should comment on the specific need for requested items and how they will be used. Faculty salary should be calculated at .76 FTE for a six-week Summer A session and at .74 FTE for Summer B.
