University Wide Commencement Ceremony
Degrees are conferred by the university president and students will turn their tassel. This ceremony is for all university graduates receiving a bachelor’s, master’s, or specialist's degree.

The University Wide Commencement Ceremony does not require tickets for graduates or guests, nor is there a per-candidate guest limit.  

COTA Recognition Ceremony 
Ceremony of a single college where individual names are called and students are recognized on stage. This ceremony is for all College of the Arts graduates. Registration to the University Wide Commencement Ceremony does not automatically register you to the COTA Recognition Ceremony. 

The College Recognition Ceremonies in the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts will require tickets. The number of tickets per candidate will be determined by each college using their registration numbers. Distribution methods and ticket information will be conveyed by the respective colleges further into the spring semester. 

University Doctoral Ceremony 
Where most doctoral candidates are individually recognized and hooded on stage. This ceremony is for all doctoral graduates.  

The Doctoral Degrees Ceremony in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center does not require tickets for graduates or guests, nor is there a per-candidate guest limit.
