2018 University of Florida International Piano Festival (Chinese Version)

APPLICATION DEADLINE: APRIL 16, 2018.

UFIPF assembles promising young pianists for lessons and masterclasses with distinguished piano teachers from North America and across the globe. Originating in 2007 as the Chinese-American International Piano Institute (CAIPI), the event has hosted some of the finest performers and teachers from around the world.

Upon review of application materials, students will be invited to participate in one of three divisions:

Artist Division

Highly advanced applicants will be invited to participate in the Artist Division. There is no upper age limit. Artist Division participants will be assembled into small, rotating study groups, giving each student the opportunity to receive a lesson or masterclass from each member of the faculty--a total of five lessons. In addition to morning lessons, Artist Division participants will regularly perform in public masterclasses and recitals throughout the week.

UFIPF Honors Recital: Six outstanding Artist Division participants, determined by faculty vote, will be selected to perform in the UFIPF Honors Recital at the close of the festival.

Pre-College Division

Additionally, Pre-College students will receive classes in music theory from UF faculty. Pre-College students will receive full access to Artist lessons, masterclasses and concerts.

Closing Recital: As part of the UFIPF closing events, Pre-College students will perform in a recital.
