The University of Florida Carillon Studio is made up of students who have auditioned and committed to upholding the tradition of performing in Century Tower. Daily Performances in Century Tower
UF carillonneurs perform Monday thru Friday while classes are in session from 12:35-12:50PM & 4:55-5:10PM. Have you ever wondered what it is like to perform in Century Tower? Wonder what the tower looks like inside? Check out this exclusive UF Century Tower Carillon Tour to find out what it is like to be a carillonneur at UF!
The UF Carillon Studio Concert Series
The UF Carillon Studio Concert Series offers a chance to hear the UF Carillon during a forty-five minute recital.
Listeners are encouraged to find a location at least 100 feet from the tower for an optimal listening experience. Concert details for each program will be available via a link below.

UF recently featured carillonneur Mark Zhang in The Sounds of Century Tower. Nicely done!
UF carillon studio members Michael Dixon and Rayyan Merchant were awarded a composer-performer grant from The Guild of Carillonneurs in North America. Click here to learn more about the grant and view a performance of Dixon's "Albireo."
Carillon studio graduate Wade FitzGerald (BM Outside Field/'19) was appointed Associate Instructor of Carillon and University Carillonneur at Indiana University, Bloomington, in Fall 2022. Wade graduated from Indiana with an MM in Organ Performance in May 2024.
The UF carillon was featured in a recent article in the Orange and Blue Magazine. Carillonneur Ryan Childress was featured!
Carlos Colón-Ortiz, a biomedical engineering student with a music performance minor in carillon, was awarded a 2022 SallySlade Warner Arrangement & Transcription Performance Award. His work was a transcription of El Coquí, a traditional Puerto Rican Danza by José Ignacio Quintón (1881-1925). Due to this distinction his piece was performed at the Laura Spelman Rockefeller Memorial Carillon at the University of Chicago (IL) during the annual congress of The Guild of Carillonneurs of North America in June 2022.
Florida carillons were featured in a recent segment of Florida Frontiers. The carillon discussion begins at the 21:20 mark of the show (or when there is about 7:39 left in the program). The feature includes sounds from the UF carillon and interviews with Dr. Ellis and UF carillon studio graduate, Wade FitzGerald! Thanks to Margot Winick for this wonderful feature on the carillon art in Florida.
