No. Auditions are not required for this program.

Please apply as soon as possible. With such a large number of students applying each year very few applying after November 1st are admitted.

Transfer Students

To be eligible for admission to the School of Theatre and Dance, a transfer student must satisfy the minimum requirements for admission. Additionally, all students must complete two sequential courses of foreign language in secondary school or 8-10 semester hours at the postsecondary level, or document an equivalent level of proficiency. Students attending Florida community colleges are required to complete the Associate of Arts degree.

Minor

All students who plan to minor in theatre production must consult the undergraduate advisor at SoTDAdvising@ufl.edu to select a program of study. Of the total credits, nine credits must be at the 3000 level or above and 12 credits must be completed at the University of Florida. See full details in the UF Undergraduate Catalog.
