STEP 2: Apply to the University of Florida
Please carefully review the official UF transfer student information, and apply before the published deadlines.
Minor
The dance minor is designed to bring the student in close contact with classroom expertise in technique, as well as the enriching artistic and production aspects of dance. Admission to the dance minor requires the completion of Modern Dance (at appropriate level) at UF with a minimum grade of B. Then the student will meet with the dance minor advisor for approval to enter the program and to establish a program of study.
See full details in the UF Undergraduate Catalog.
Contact the Undergraduate Advisor
All students who plan to minor in Dance should first reach out to the undergraduate advisor at SoTDadvising@ufl.edu. The minor is comprised of a core of 10-11 credits plus 6-7 credits of emphasis as approved by the advisor. At least 12 of these credits must be completed at UF. It normally takes four semesters to complete the minor.
