Bachelor of Music in Music Education
The Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Music Education is a comprehensive degree designed to prepare students for certification as K–12 music teachers in Florida and many other states. Blending intensive musical training with practical teaching experience, this program develops both your artistic and pedagogical skills.
Students engage in coursework in music theory, history, conducting and music teaching methods, while also participating in ensembles and private instruction with expert faculty. Field experiences and student teaching placements in public schools ensure that graduates leave the program confident, capable and classroom-ready.
As a music education major, you will:
