UF Piano Student presents at FSMTA Conference

Benjamin Reiter, a graduate student pursuing a Master of Music degree in piano, was recently invited to give a presentation at the Florida State Music Teachers Association Annual (MTNA) Conference. Benjamin serves as President and Founder of the MTNA Collegiate Chapter as well as an instructor for the Secondary Piano Program at UF. The FSMTA Annual Conference took place from October 4 to 7 at the historic Biltmore in Choral Gables, featuring numerous performances, presentations and clinics. The Collegiate Member and Young Professional Session included lightning talks and presentations by students and young professionals from the University of Florida, Florida State University, University of Miami and New Tampa Piano and Pedagogy Academy.

Under the guidance of the faculty advisor Dr. Jasmin Arakawa, the new MTNA Collegiate Chapter at UF aims to promote opportunities in cultivating pedagogical research as well as connecting with the community to share and expand the impact of musical arts in Gainesville and beyond.Â
