UF organ studio goes on an "organ crawl" in Central Florida

On Saturday, February 2, 2019, members of the UF organ studio traveled to Winter Park, FL, to meet church musicians and play organs in area. The '"organ crawl" included stops at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (4-manual Walker digital/pipe hybrid), All Saints Episcopal (III/40 Aeolian-Skinner/Aiken), St. Richard's Episcopal (II/16 Visser-Rowland) and Rollins College (IV/78 Skinner/A-E/Dyer). On the way back to Gainesville, the group stopped at St. Andrew's Chapel in Sanford (III/57 Reuter/Schwartz & four rank VanderZee positiv organ). In the afternoon, the group attended a hymn festival at Winter Park Presbyterian Church led by Dr. Robert Delcamp, a recently retired faculty member from The University of the South.

The studio returned to St. Richard's Episcopal Church to play a recital on Sunday, March 24, 2019. The recital followed a contemplative Lenten Taizé service. Hosted by Dr. Carl MaultsBy, Director of Music/Organist at St. Richard's, the studio members Gabriel Johnston, Jordan Alexander Key, Chohee Kim and Zane Price performed on a 2-manual/16 rank Visser-Rowland tracker organ.
