SOM professor conducts workshop, delivers keynote address

Annunciation Catholic Church in Houston, Texas.

Edward Schaefer conducted a workshop on The Interpretation of Chant: Text, Melody, Mode and Signs at Annunciation Catholic Church in Houston, Texas from July 19 to 21. The workshop concluded with Solemn Vespers. He also gave the keynote address in the Musica Sacra Florida conference on July 27 in Naples, Florida. The address was titled ​Gregorian Chant: Its Influence on Western Music and Its Importance Today.
