Laura Ellis, associate professor of music, traveled to Seoul, South Korea in May for a series of organ recitals. Ellis performed solo recitals at Andong Presbyterian Church on May 19 and Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary (PUTS) on May 25. While at PUTS, Ellis offered a lecture and masterclass for the organ students. On May 23 Ellis also played selections at Gusung Catholic Church during the anniversary celebration of the installation of their pipe organ.
While in South Korea, Ellis traveled to Taejeon and performed on the largest carillon in the world: the 78 bell instrument housed in Hyechon Tower on the campus of Taejeon Institute of Science and Technology.
