Professor Glenn Willumson has received a Getty Research Institute grant for 2014. During his six-week residency at the Research Institute, Dr. Willumson will prepare a paper for a Getty Symposium planned for the fall of 2015 that considers the role of the curatorial photographic archive in the digital age. He will also conduct research about the rise of the photography as a collectible commodity during the 1970s and its subsequent impact on how we conceive of photographic history today.
