Music Education Faculty Present at 72nd Annual Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic

Professor and Music Education Area Head, Dr. William I. Bauer and Visiting Assistant Professor, Dr. Barry Hartz traveled to Chicago to give a presentation at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic on Friday, December 1, 2018. Their presentation provided an overview of research into the nature of the creative process, challenged participants to examine their own beliefs about creativity, and provided models for cultivating individual musical creativity in large ensembles. The Midwest Clinic is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious instrumental music conferences with an annual attendance of 17,000 participants from all 50 states and 30 countries.
