Jay Watkins named to National Association for Music Education council

John “Jay” Watkins, associate professor of music, associate director of bands and director of Gator Band, has been appointed to the National Association for Music Education’s Council for Band Education. He will serve as the southern representative on the council through 2016.

"I am honored and excited to have been selected to serve on the Council for Band Education as we continue to strive to advance music education and school bands in America," said Watkins.
