Enrique Sanchez of the Brasilia National Theater Orchestra gives Trumpet Masterclass

Enrique Sanchez, a member of the Brasilia National Theater Orchestra, presented a masterclass to the UF Trumpet Studio on Monday, January 23, 2017.  With the aid of translator and saxophonist/scholar Vadim Arsky, Sanchez discussed his career, life in a professional orchestra and a number of important pedagogical principles. He worked with students on sound production emphasizing the importance of body resonance and breathing, having good internal time, and on orchestral excerpts. Sanchez demonstrated on the trumpet as well and displayed his beautiful resonant tone. Dr. Randy Lee and the UF Trumpet Studio were very appreciative of Enrique Sanchez for sharing his time and knowledge.
