School of Music faculty member Laura Ellis performed carillon as part of The Spring Invitational Recital at Wellesley College on Saturday, April 6. In addition, Ellis worked with five of the Wellesley student carillonneurs in a masterclass setting the preceding day. Wellesley's 32-bell carillon was begun in 1931 with thirty bells by the prestigious English bell-founder Gillett & Johnston.
