Dr. Miriam Zach accepts named chair position at Iowa State University Fall 2016

Dr. Miriam Zach has been awarded and accepted the full-time named chair “Charles and Mary Sukup Endowed Artist in Organ” position at Iowa State University beginning August 16, 2016. Such named positions are the highest recognitions for excellence at major U.S. universities, and they are rare and prestigious. She is greatly honored to be the inaugural recipient of this position, and looks forward to teaching and performing pipe organ and encouraging women composers through international interdisciplinary musicological research efforts. She also plans to teach music and health, music history, and music and architecture courses.
