Dr. Kristen Stoner travels to Australia and Malaysia

Dr. Kristen Stoner, professor of music at UF, presented three performances in Australia and Malaysia in July. Dr. Stoner and Dr. Manabu Takasawa (Professor of Piano, University of Rhode Island) performed a full recital at the Christchurch Cathedral in Newcastle, Australia, as part of the concert series Twilight Musical Dialogues. Four days later, Dr. Stoner performed with Dr. Mary Matthews Norton (flute) at the College Music Society International Conference at the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney. They presented Dr. Stoner's composition "Cape Cod Suite for flute duet" on a Composer's Concert at the conference. Following the conference, she traveled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to perform on a Guest Recital Series at Sunway University. On the recital, she performed her flute duet composition with Dr. Tabatha Easley (Assistant Professor of Flute, Virginia Commonwealth University).
