Dr. Kevin Orr performs and speaks at Second Piano Pedagogy Symposium at USF

Professor and Interim School of Music Director Kevin Orr was a speaker and recitalist at the Second Piano Pedagogy Symposium “Touch and Tone in Mindful Pianists,” Oct. 16-17, 2015 held at the University of South Florida. This unique annual event assembles pianists and medical professionals researching and promoting healthy and efficient performance practices. Other pianist contributors included Rebecca Penneys of the Eastman School of Music, Leonidas Lipovetsky of Florida State University, Martha Thomas of the University of Georgia, Doug Johnson of Berklee College of Music, Grigorios Zamparas of the University of Tampa, and Sang-Hie Lee of the University of South Florida. Medical contributors included John Chong of Performing Arts Medicine Association (PAMA), as well as Nicholas Hall and Ray Gottlieb, both of USF Health.
