Kevin Orr, professor of piano and interim director of UF's School of Music, recently recorded the Samuel Barber Piano Concerto, Op. 38, with the Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra of Slovenija. Recorded at the RTV Studio in Ljubljana, this collaboration completes Dr. Orr’s all-Barber recording project—his third solo CD, which also includes the Barber solo Sonata, Op. 26, Ballade Op. 46 and Nocturne, Op. 33. The disc, engineered and produced by Andreas Meyer of Meyer Media, New York, is scheduled for release in mid-2016. Major funding from a UF Alternative Sabbatical Grant helped to make this project possible.
