Dr. Joshua Neumann presents at International Symposium on Performance Science

Dr. Joshua Neumann, Visiting Assistant Professor of Musicology, presented a paper at the International Symposium on Performance Science, held at the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center in Reykjavík, Iceland, 30 August - 2 September. His paper, "Mixing Methods, Modelling Tradition: Nello Santi and Turandot's Riddles" posited a perception-based model of tradition for operatic performance. This paper is part of his ongoing work, which highlights the data of performance as human behavior and focuses on constructing links between theoretical and empirical concepts.
