Chip Birkner guest conducts Ocala Symphony Orchestra

Dr. Chip Birkner, Assistant Director of Bands at the University of Florida, guest conducted the Ocala Symphony Orchestra (OSO) on April 8-9, 2017.  Birkner conducted George Gershwin’s Cuban Overture as part of the OSO’s American Graffiti program.  Additional works on the program were Philip Glass’ Violin Concert No. 1, Aaron Copland’s Rodeo, as well as Bruce Healey’s Tribute to Irving Berlin.
