Birkners perform at National Flute Association Convention

Mary and Chip Birkner appeared together performing at the 46th Annual National Flute Association Convention in Orlando, Florida earlier this month. The collaboration involved a performance of Bernstein's Overture to Candide by the University of Florida Alumni Flute Sextet as well as the first movement of Kristen Stoner's arrangement of Gounod's Petite Symphonie performed by the Festive Florida Flute Choir. Mary Birkner performed in these groups on alto flute, and both perfromances were conducted by Chip Birkner.
