Andrew Babcock collects prize for Destellos Competition

Andrew Babcock’s (Ph.D. Music Composition ABD) work Ventriloquy was awarded an honorable mention in the Concurso Internacional de Composição Electroacústica Música Viva 2015 in Lisbon, Portugal. His work Short of Touch was selected for the ICMC 2015 Conference DVD. This work will also be performed at the ICMC at the University of North Texas this month. Babcock’s composition Transformations was performed at NYCEMF in June of 2015 in New York, and his work Heteroglot was released on SEAMUS Miniatures Recording Series, Transients, in November of 2014. Most recently, his work Ventriloquy was awarded second prize for the Destellos Competition in Argentina.
