Join the School of Art and Art History and H.O.T. Clay at the University of Florida for a series of workshops with visiting artist Sam Harvey on Wednesday, February 8, 9 am - 4 pm, and Thursday, February 9, 9 am - 12 pm, in Fine Arts Building C, Room B14 (FAC B14). The workshops are free and open to the public.
Sam Harvey
Sam Harvey is a studio artist living in Aspen, Colorado. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Kansas City Art Institute and his Master of Fine Arts from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Harvey is co-founder of the Harvey Meadows Gallery in Aspen, Colorado. He has exhibited work and taught workshops both nationally and internationally including Japan, Taiwan and Nepal. Harvey is highly involved in the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado where he has served as a summer intern, ceramics studio coordinator, artist-in-residence, faculty and currently serves as a board member. Additionally, he serves as the Vice President of the Board of the Carbondale Clay Center in Carbondale, Colorado. His work has been represented by Santa Fe Clay, Lilstreet Art Center, Baltimore Clay Works, and Trax Gallery in Berkeley, California.
