The 2018 UF Summer Choral Music Camp will be held June 18-22 and conclude with a performance of the camp chorus in the beautiful University Auditorium. The Camp staff is made up of both University of Florida faculty and students. The core camp faculty includes Dr. Will Kesling, UF’s Director of Choral Activities, whose conducting career takes him around the globe, having conducted more than three hundred choirs at all levels and world-renowned orchestras on five continents. Also featured are Dr. Cory Alexander who has conducted and sung professionally in Florida, North Carolina, and Texas and was a recent finalist for the American Prize in Choral Conducting; and Dr. Marshall Haning, an Asst. Prof. of Music Education at UF, who has taught choral music in North Carolina and Florida.

The Camp, made up of high school chorus students, will participate in daily rehearsals, receive music instruction, and take part in fun evening activities every night. All Camp attendees will stay in University of Florida dormitories and eat at the fabulous UF dining facilities. Camp participants will perform a varied concert on Friday afternoon for family and members of the UF community.

The University of Florida, a top-10 public university, is a diverse community dedicated to excellence in education and research and shaping a better future for Florida, the nation and the world. This is a wonderful and rare opportunity to make new friends and perform great music in a beautiful venue while receiving world-class instruction at a world-class institution.
