Summer B Band

    The UF Summer Band is open to UF students, faculty, and Gainesville community members. A UF affiliation is not required and there is no fee for participation. Participating musicians must be available for all rehearsals and the concert. UF students have the option to earn (1) academic credit in Summer B by enrolling in MUN1210. UF students registered for the course will be allowed to use UF instruments. All others must provide their own instruments.

    Auditions will be handled via recorded video. Video submissions should be no longer than 6 minutes in length, and must include two short excerpts of varying styles (e.g. technical, lyrical) and a chromatic scale. Please upload your video to YouTube, and send the video link to: watkins@ufl.edu. Video Auditions will be accepted through June 28th, the end of Summer B drop/add.

    Rehearsals are from June 29th through August 3rd (Mondays and Wednesdays, except for July 4th) at 7:00-8:30pm in the Stephen Stills Rehearsal Hall of Steinbrenner Band Hall (1556 Inner Road). The concert is scheduled for Thursday, August 4th at 7:30pm in the University Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
