The Seminole Trombone Quartet is the resident trombone quartet of Florida State University and is comprised of four doctoral teaching assistants in the trombone studio: Christopher Brown, David Ellis, Steven Ivany, Dunwoody Mirvil
The quartet was recently selected as the winner of a college-wide entrepreneurship competition and was selected to perform a recital at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Leading up to their Carnegie Hall premiere, the quartet is touring the state of Florida with stops at several universities and public schools. The University of Florida’s newly appointed trombone instructor, Dr. Erik Shinn, was a founding member of the Seminole Trombone Quartet.
