- Description
On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, join the School of Art + Art History at the UF Division of Public Safety's Public Safety Community Room for a Public Discussion with New York-based, world renowned artist, Mel Chin.
Moderated by Associate Professor Sean Miller, this is a public discussion between Chin and Miller based around questions proposed by students, faculty, and staff in the school.
This event is in addition to the York Lecture with Mel Chin and Rufus Chaney on September 19, 3pm at the Harn Museum Auditorium, followed by a reception. After the lecture, the deans of the College of the Arts and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will announce a new call for proposals for student projects where art/design and science collaborate in the spirit of Chin and Chaney’s famous Revival Field. The winning proposal will receive $5000 to carry out the project. The reception is an opportunity for COTA and CALS students to mingle, in the hopes of beginning to forge partnerships for proposals - VenueUF Division of Public Safety Building
