Did you know that October is National Arts & Humanities Month? To celebrate, UF is hosting Pop-Up Culture in the Plaza of the Americas on Wednesday, October 14 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Join us for an array of activities that will celebrate the arts and humanities at UF. From musical performances to live debates and from dancing to opportunities to paint, there’s something for everyone. African Student Union Dance Troupe
Performing cultural dance and choreography

Will have a film station to teach participants about processes of analog filmmaking, as well as inviting them to the annual Florida Experimental Film/Video Festival (FLEXfest)

Tabling with information about their exhibitions and ways students can get involved

A demonstration of various styles of swing dance (Lindy Hop, Charleston, blues and more) as well as line dances

Participants will create a 6 ft. x 8 ft. Mona Lisa with over 10,000 rubber bands (project funded by a grant from the Bob Graham Center)

A euphonium quartet performing arrangements of music from selections: O Magnum Mysterium, Contrapunctus IX, Achieved is the Glorious Work and Danny Boy
