Kaira M. Cabañas Book Launch: Immanent Vitalities: Matters of Modern and Contemporary Art

Join us on Thursday, April 15 at 6pm for the launch of Kaira M. Cabañas’s Immanent Vitalities: Matters of Modern and Contemporary Art. The book was published as part of the University of California Press’s “Studies in Latin American Art” series, which is supported by the Institute for Studies on Latin American Art (ISLAA).

The event includes an introduction by ISLAA President and Founder Ariel Aisiks, a presentation by the author, and a conversation between the author and José Falconi, Lecturer of Latin American Art in the Department of History of Art & Architecture at Brandeis University as well as the President of Cultural Agents, Inc., an NGO that promotes civic engagement and creativity through artistic education. His monograph on Mexican artist Pia Camil, There are no Friendly Fires, is forthcoming in 2021.
