HESCAH Panel Discussion | "Plural Domains: Art in, of, from Latin America"

Join us for a panel discussion with José Falconi (moderator), Amalia Pica, Alice Miceli, and José Gabriel Fernández. This panel will discuss the coinciding exhibition "Plural Domains: Selected Works from the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation Collection," curated by Jesús Fuenmayor, University Galleries Program Director & Visiting Curator. The exhibition, featured in UF's University Gallery and the Harn Museum of Art, features photography, drawing, video, sculpture, and large-scale multimedia installations by 30 established, mid-career, and emerging artists from 10 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Many of the artists are immersed in a range of multidisciplinary or hybrid practices in which both traditional and the most innovative methods come together, as they incorporate into their work the infinite variety of resources that constitute the repertoire of contemporary art.
