FILMS UNDER THE STARS returns to the UF College of the Arts this Spring and will be presented by the Spring 2020 "Contemporary Curating" Seminar students and faculty.
Films will be screened in the outside atrium of Fine Arts Building B on Mondays at 8:00pm. Screenings begin January 27th and end on February 24th.
Information for films curated by the Spring 2020 "Contemporary Curating" Seminar students and faculty will be available in January on social media #uffilmsunderthestars.
All screenings are free and open to the public. In the case of inclement weather screenings will take place in Fine Arts Building D, Room 329.
All attending are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, hammocks, etc and cinema friendly pets or family members.
PLEASE NOTE: Any film screened as part of course content and school programming for Films Under the Stars is intended to provide the public, students, faculty, and staff with access to content and form that might otherwise not be possible to encounter in an open setting or from local cinema venues in Gainesville. Many of these films may include content or cinematic situations that some viewers may find offensive as well as visual images that may offend others. All films curated as part of Films Under the Stars have been selected for their aesthetic, critical, and cultural value. Questions or concerns about film content are welcome during discussions following each screening or you may feel free to contact Dr. Smith for more information prior to any screening.
Food and (non-alcoholic) drink are welcome.
If you would like any additional information about this program please contact Dr. Craig Smith (email@example.com) or @craigsmithphotocoach.
