    The University of Florida’s Student Society for Musicology (SSM) is proud to present the Creative Resilience Symposium, a free two-day event open to the UF community (with a special focus on COTA and graduate students). We will celebrate diverse perspectives and veins of artistic expression following the isolation imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, elevating an appreciation for innovative thoughts, collaborative compositions, and the fostering of community harmony on the UF campus and in community with scholars at other institutions through scholarly engagement and performances.

    The event will take place in the UF Music Building from 1pm - 6:30pm on Friday, October 15th, with virtual paper sessions on Saturday, October 16th beginning at 9am. Seats are limited so register today!

    We are hosting a 2-part writing workshop led by Dr. Vernetta Mosley with support from skilled UF writers. The event begins with an exclusive Writing Luncheon, from 11:30am - 12:30pm on Friday, October 15th, followed by the actual Document Workshop at 3:00pm in the afternoon. Registration is limited to 20 participants (so everyone can get one-on-one assistance) and three individuals will be selected to win Dr. Mosley’s amazing book. If you want to improve your writing and set realistic goals, register for this great opportunity!
