Hosted by the Pabst Steinmetz Foundation and the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts
Presented by the University of Florida Center for Arts in Medicine, in partnership with United Arts of Central Florida, ArtPlace America, and the State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs.
With the overarching goal of creating stronger and healthier communities through the arts, this conference is intended to connect people working and thinking at the intersections of the arts, public health, and community development. The event is a part of Creating Healthy Communities: Arts + Public Health in America, a national initiative designed to accelerate collaboration among the arts, public health, and community development sectors.
The two-day conference will highlight Florida’s leadership and innovation in building healthy communities through the arts. It will feature effective program and practice models from throughout the United States, current research, and issues that affect the health and wellbeing of communities and will provide opportunities for dialogue, strategic thinking and learning.
