Codesigning Equitable Futures Speaker Series: Robin Lewy, Community and Health Justice Advocate, Rural Women’s Health Project

Codesigning Equitable Futures Speaker Series is part of a community engagement initiative to build connections between UF and the local community. To do this, we invited Robin Lewy, Co-Founder and Director of Programming at the Rural Women's Health Project (RWHP), the only health justice organization in North Florida, for a conversation to share insights on how we might establish long-term, sustainable, and respectful collaborations.

At RWHP, Lewy oversees advocacy and direct service programming that serves Latinx communities, immigrants, women living with HIV and rural communities. She coordinates Voces de Inmigrantes en Acción, an initiative designed to promote dynamic communication between providers, service organizations and Latinx communities concerning HIV/AIDS, and correlated risk factors.
